Day by Day Itineray
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your hotel. Meet with your tour leaders and fellow participants for a welcome dinner and a briefing session. Discuss the itinerary and photography goals for the week, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart early for Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day on a game drive, focusing on landscape shots and the diverse wildlife, which provides excellent subjects for both close-up portraits and broader ecological scenes. Overnight at a lodge within the park.
Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park
Travel to the Serengeti National Park, known for its vast, open landscapes and abundant wildlife. These two days are dedicated to capturing the dynamics of the Serengeti’s ecosystem. Morning and evening game drives optimize the soft natural lighting. Workshops in the field cover various techniques, including action shots and the use of natural light.
Day 5-6: Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Spend day six descending into the crater, photographing the high densities of wildlife in this unique geographical setting. The crater offers a spectacular backdrop, with opportunities to capture wide-angle and panoramic shots of the landscape and its inhabitants.
Day 7: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
Visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and famous tree-climbing lions. The park’s varied landscapes, from savannah to marsh and forest, provide rich opportunities for a variety of photographic themes and species, especially birdlife.
Day 8: Return to Arusha and Departure
Enjoy a leisurely morning drive back to Arusha. Depending on flight schedules, there may be time for a final workshop to review photos, discuss post-processing techniques, or explore more of Arusha’s scenic spots. Conclude your photography safari and transfer to the airport for your departure, taking home not only photos but incredible stories and new skills.
